VOLKNER

And finally, for Sinnoh, we come to Volkner, the Electric-type gym leader of Sunyshore City. He is portrayed as a Pokemon champion who became bored with winning all the time, and so constantly revamps his gym in a desperate attempt to make something exciting and reignite his spark. As such, the gym has a bit for us to go on. He’d definitely be on the slower side of player characters.

Here’s the moveset I came up with:

 

Standard B: Luxray

Performing Discharge

 

Side B: Dynamo

He will summon a set of dynamos from his gym that will protect him and damage those coming close.

 

Up B: Giant Gear

One of the giant gears from his gym will appear under him and twist upward.

 

Down B: Badge Machine

His badge machine from the anime will appear, grabbing an opponent and throwing them away.

 

Final Smash: Sunyshore Gym Thunderbolts

He will send out a Luxray, Magnezone, and Electivire, who will cause a thunderstorm across the stage.

 

Entrance: His opening line and pose.

 

Taunts: Almost all just listless baseline movements, like waving his finger in the air and saying “whoo.”

 

Kirby Hat: His hair

 

Kart: Based on Luxray

Special Move: Dynamo

 

Spirit Battle: On Distortion World (omega form), with his original team.

 

Victory Screen: Rolling his eyes and slumping back on his seat, saying “I win. Again.”

Losing Screen: Handing over his badge, with a look of fulfillment on his face.

 

Color Swaps: His regular outfit, based on Flint, based on Luxray, based on Electivire, based on Raichu, based on Magnezone, based on Medicham, based on Octillery.
